whats the top speed

 

pretty sure 40-45 i had a 300 4X4 and thats all i got

 

my 01 ac 250 4x4 got to 52 on a paved road thats about it

 

My 99 AC 500 would do 59 on the speedo. Measured by a Magellan 315 GPS, it would top out at 52.7 on flat pavement. The 98 454 AC would GPS at 51.5

 

I have an 03 250 2 WD that was checked on side of a truck this weekend....43 topped out in 5th gear...but , i still went places others couldn't go because of the IS on my bike. Over tree stumps and deadfalls in a clearcut to retrieve a deer shot waaaaay in the back of our lease. I'm happy with the bike, but I get a lot of ribbing from the big bike crowd about having a toy (250) instead of a man's (?) bike. I guess they thought if we got stuck, it would be easier to get the toy out than a bigger bike. I have a 2000 Warn winch on mine also. In the beginning I had some 2nd thoughs about not getting a 300 AC or a 400 Yamaha, but Christmas had tapped me out already, so I just went with the 250 AC. Really happy I did. Maybe bigger in a year or so....Rocky

 

My friend has an a/c 250 2x4 and his will only go 45, and he is as lite of a rider as they come .

 

so your looking at 45 to 50 (50 would be winded out in 5th and the engine will be screaming)
