Has anyone tried wheel spacers to get a wider stance for their AC?

What company out there makes them?

Please give your impresions if you have tried wheel spacers on your ACs.

I put 1" Highlifter aluminum spacers on mine with a set of 26" Gators as soon as I bought it. Since I never really rode it without them I can't compare, but I love the stability with the spacers. Widening it out will also soften up the suspension a bit.

I added 1" spacers a few weeks ago, and found that the thing seems to steer harder than without them. I found that riding on tight, twisty trails can be really tiring compared to stock. JayBr is correct in saying that the stability is better, cause it is a LOT better, it seems like the bike slides through corners better than without them. In the mud, there is definatley an advantage to being wider.

I hope this helps...

Guys, what about a compromize. 1 inch spacers in the back (for stability), and non in the front (quicker steering)?

BTW, which brand spacers did you use?

I actually did try that config for a day and it works out just fine. In fact I toyed with the idea of leaving it like that, buy I decided against it after a recent trail ride that was through a very narrow trail system.

BTW, I am using the Highlifter spacers. They are VERY well made, and would buy them again in a min. I liked the idea of alumnium spacers rather than some of the others that are plastic. The plastic would have worked but I think it is just a preference thing...

OOH, by using the offset on the rears, you almost eliminate the accumulation of crud between the brake assembly and the rim This eliminated the constant grinding of the inside surface of the rim on mine when riding through sloppy crud.

I'm also using the Highlifters, and like Scoot said the quality is great.
I have the composite Durablues on my sons Mojave. Not long ago he was hit by another quad on the front end and a big chunk came out of the spacer. I'd defiinataly go with aluminum.

Thank you both for your input. I will take your advice and get the Alu 1" spacers. I'll start with the rear first.

Appreciate your advice guys.
