Try turning the fan with a pen or something to see if your bushing hasn't seized up. If it turns freely, unplug your fan and check for continuity with an ohmmeter. If it has a really high resistance or has no continuity then your fan is NFG. If that checks out then eitheir your sensor, or your wiring including relays and fuses may be the problem.

If you do have to replace your fan, get one from from the junk yard off a small car. I replaced the fan on my kodiak with a fan from a 91 Chev Sprint. It bolted on with VERY little modifications and it works perfectly. Total cost of my fan replacement....$5!!! The dealer wanted $369 for a new fan for the kodiak...at that price he can keep it.
Make sure when you wash your Cat to get all the mud from around the fan so the blades can spin freely. I ruined my fan because the mud dried around the blade so it couldn't spin which ended up burning out the motor. I was also told that the fans can be taken apart and new brushes put in. I didn't try rebuilding mine yet but I will in the spring. Good luck.
