WELL I DID IT THIS TIME..tried going up a VERY steap hill in 2wd that i have managed in 4wd today , lose rock and rutted seriously bad 2nd run at it and i made within 6 feet from clearing the worst of it then the right rear found a rut covered with leaves about a foot deep and it got crazy! tried backing down a few feet to back against some small trees and get in 4wd , BUT they werent big enough forthe slope and there she went ! rolled and flipped 3/4 the way down the hill a good 150 feet or more before slamming into a nice sized oak on its side . man i screwed it up

There used to be a ride area in Kilgore, TX. One of the trails was called hospital hill. After watching 2 people flip back down it I gave up hill climbing. One was a Foreman 400 4X4 and the other was a 400EX.

Sorry to here about your misfortune.
I rolled mine over forwards coming down a steep drop off a couple days ago. Luckily I was able to straighten the handlebars and rear rack out, the speedo is history tho. In my 18 years of riding quads, this is the first time I have ever seen one go over forwards. The week before I had my Honda 300 going up and down this same slope without a hint of instability. I think I will keep the Cat on flatter ground and leave the technical stuff to the Honda. All that ground clearance and suspension travel come with a price.

well first off i guess you could say ive always been one to push my luck.i made it in 4wd so lets step it up and try 2wd, almost had it another 5 or 6 feet and i would have beat that hill so close lol, but that handgranade blew up in my face ... the trail is several years old and washed out only thing left is loose rock mostly. id guess the hill at about 50 degress or so , barley walk down w/o sliding. ..luckily i bailed before it made it through the first roll! got up in time to watch my 2 mo old bike do some amazing cartwheels until it met the almighty oak. and for once im not gonna complain about the extra $'s for full cov ins!! came out without a scratch just alittle sore, im sure it can be saved the front rack ist to bad but the back is destroyed and everything anywhere close to the bars was trashed inc. the tank thats were the tree got it. it has no power , guess the impact w/tree broke some electrinics or something.i wish u could just lay these over like a good ol dirt bike !
