Default 300 with lift

I have installed a lift on my 4x4 300 and havent had any problems with it yet but have not ridden it that much. Has any one had any bad luck with a lift on a 300 with stock tires?

Hey Volvoman

You have a '01 right? I don't think I have heard of any problems with the lifts on the '01's at all. I do not own a 300 but know a few guys that do. You should be alright!!

I've put about 200 miles on mine since I installed it. No problems at all.

Volvoman, great question. I have an ac 300 as well and liek most all 300/250 owners think the machine is great except a miss in power and lack of ground clearance. I have been looking strongly at lift kits both hoghlifter and moose brands as well as a custome lift. My thoughts have been teh axles on the 300/250 models is close to parallel before lift, while the 400/500 is already at an angle and the lift just compromises it further. First of all I think 12 inches is pleant y if not too much clearance, I am a physics major and understand very well the limtations a machine that gets that tall (I.E. hill climbing gets more and more dangerous). Having said all that I belive the ac 300/250 models can handle a lift better than the 400/500 models. But I do want to hear more replys from guys that do have lifts on these machines. I would really lift to see the differences between the custome lifts the moose and highlifter lifts. I calling on those who have any these mods on the 250/300 w/digital cameras to please post pics so we can see, the end result and the angle these lifts put on teh axles. I dont want a lift if its gonna cut into reliability, but I dotn like getting stuck in a mudhole cause I bottom out (I am running stock tires, I know I know they are almost worn and ready to me replaced). Thanks guys (and galls if the case may be).

I have a spacer kit on my 300. i have had it on for over a year and all my CV's are still in one piece. i picked up about 1 1/2" ground clearence with it. i have a pic of it but it does not show much of the drive shaft angel. http://photos.yahoo.com/racnooc click on the ATV folder. i will see if can find another pic to post on there.

Thanks for all the response guys. I was pretty sure I was OK but all this talk about broced CVs and axles had me nervous. Ill leave the lift on and enjoy the machine.
