Default Preload rating for the front diff

Can anyone tell me if there is a preload setting for the front diff .i.e what to add shim wise to the sub assembly. What is the desired setting? I need to order shims for the new sub but i need to know the settings. Im still using the the old one even though a tooth broke lose from the spider, but i dont need the spider so thats why i can still use it!

CatKrazy- There is 1 shim on each side with the same thickness. If you weld the upper gear to the assembly and the spider gear teeth together, you can still use your old one.

yes but what i am worried about is the new housing. The new housing is probly a different size in terms of millimeters and hundreths

I have a micometer that calculates the play in differicials. im just waiting on the new housing to get here
