Default '86 ATC 250R - Changing Rear Disc Pads, Help!

I had a similar problem with the bleeding - I found that not letting the pedal come all of the way up while bleeding solved it.

Hold down pedal - loosen bleeder valve (into a tube going into a cup of fluid) - let fluid escape - tighten bleeder valve - pump 3-5 times letting the pedal only come half way up - repeat.

These old brakes are a pain, I'll give you that. They work great until you touch them.
