My Big Red always back fires when it is shut off after i have ridden it a while, it is getting worse and i can hear a popping noise from the exhaust pipe when i let off the gas. Someone please help.

How can i fix it?

 

First step would be to pull off the exhaust pipe and install a new copper o-ring in the exhaust port that the pipe crushes to form a seal once it's tightened back down. Give the rest of the exhaust system a once-over, looking for telltale black spots where you can see soot from an exhaust leak. If you find one, braze or weld the hole/crack up.
