do 3 wheelers float?
Some of the smaller models with the big balloon tires definatly would float. I used to float my Kawa 110 across streams all the time. I would just jump off and float it to the other side. It didn't work to well if you were on it. The later big reds were to heavy to float....the best you could do was get the front tire floating.

do 3 wheelers float?
Thank you to all that posted there stories, I have learned!!!!!!!!!! This spring I am going to try a new place to ride; I have to cross a river to get to it. The river is about 50' wide and about 10" deep with the water moving sorta slow. My riding buddy uses a dirt bike and I am goin to let him go first and tie off a rope JUST IN CASE!!!!! I do not want to have to post a horror story here in the spring

My 85 big red floats. As long as you keep forward momentum. The bike was designed to have the air intake come through the frame by the front bars. I was in about 5 feet of water and had no problem at all - felt like driving a boat. I also wa going too fast in the trails about 2 months ago and blasted over a cliff into a river. I jumped off mid-air and the bike went 'splash' it rolled sideways and stayed afloat until I could wade up to it and pull it out... winched it to the top of the hill (about 1 hr later) let it sit for 5 mins and she fired right up! Can't beat a Honda....

I tried that in my friends pond with an 84 250r. Well it floated....upside down. If you're going to try it, do it in a very shallow place. It's not like you can throw paddle tires on the thing and use it like a jet ski. But, if you do....please have someone take video or pictures of it!!!
