My friend is gonna sell me two rear aluminium rims off of a 300ex, my question is will they fit on my 85 big red hubs? I need to know asap, Thanks.

 

Unless someone here has tried this, you are going to have to find out by bolting them up.

The bolt pattern is the same, but I feel that the offset and bell shape is going to cause an issue when clearing the brake drum on the '85 BigRed.

does the 85 big red have those little 8mm lug nuts or were those updated to the bigger tougher ones? my 200s has those little ones and i dont know if anyother rims that fit it have eaver been made. good luck

 

Ok, i'm pretty sure they're gonna work, my friend tried them on his 300 fourtrax and they fit just fine, so i'm almost positive that they'll fit over the big reds rear brake drum.

 

I just bought the rims and tires, they're frickin sweet, but KnowsAlot you were right about them not fitting over the rear brake drum. Here's the awesome part about it, they only cost me $10!
