what do u guys think of a honda 1985 250sx three wheeler????is a sportier trike like a 200x and 350x or is it like a honda big red??

 

it is a little sportier...........Picrure I am not sure if it has rigid suspention in the rear or not but the forkshave shocks.

 

I think it was the best three wheeler built period for sport riders not needing a clutch. It had great suspension on the front and rear and had enough power to run with any other 4 stroke at the time other than the 200X and 350X.

The engine is similar to the BigRed with the exception of the camshaft and the transmiision gear ratios.

The frame is different but the rearends are shared with same model BigReds. The ring and pinion gear have a different ratio from the BigRed though.

None of the suspension is shared with anything. The suspension in terms of "sportiness" falls just short of the 200X. Great ride, but not as much travel and the extra weight doesn't make it a great jumper on anything more than a couple of feet.

 

They are cool trikes, I like them, except for the no-clutch thing.......what fun is that?

I think the 250 sx is awesome. I want to find a clean one. Put a 200x front end on it. Put some hole shots on the rear. Maybe add a pipe. If it needs rebuilding; add a few goodies [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] Take it out and whip some quad butt[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

 

Check out my 250SX, Everything about the stock one sux. So i changed it. Not enough power, not enough suspension, too heavy, poor tires etc. So i piped and jetted it, then i changed the shock mounts for more travel but the swing arm was so short it had enough levarage to actually lift the back of three wheeler when you hit the gas, so i lenghtened it 7 inches, cant do everything half azzed. Didnt do much about weight but shaved a few pounds by taking small stuff off. And im workin on tires. Got the front one. I bought a 5 inch wide rim and didnt have to shim it. With the 2 by 3 off set, it was dead center.

 

The 250SX rules. I raced a 200x this winter and crushed it. And.....can a 200x do this?....

We clocked it at 49mph with a radargun.....with the plow on it......looking back that was probably pretty stupid, but we survived.

 

I love my 250sx, it was the cadillac of its day.

 

cadilac! It doesnt ride very good compared to other 3 wheelers of its time.
