Sure it is possible. Cleaning is key! Also make sure you use a good quality automotive paint. Tell the autoparts place what you are doing with it and they may add a flex agent for you or given the brand of paint you may have to add at spray time.

Yeah its possible, You need to clean all the plastics really good, sand them, ( somethin like 800 grit or so ). then when you get ready to paint them use a good filler primer and bulldog ( thats a flex agent/adhesion promotor ). thats about the best you can do but its still likley to chip and flake. I wouldnt do it if i were you.

You can paint then with krylon fusion paint its is made for the use of plastics. It is the best I have used so far it comes in a spray can. The things I have painted with it I have had good results. Do a search on this forum for krylon fusion for more info. Make sure you select all areas in your search.

A friend of mine is a painter at a factory and he deals alot with saturn , he suggested to call them and ask them about that new flex paint they use on their cars , he also mentioned having the right equipment and atmosphere to do it in and the paint might not be cheap but thats your decision, how much effort you want to put into it.. Good Luck!!!
