Front sproket...

I want to change out the stock countershaft sproket for one with more teeth...i believe it has 11 on it, (stock),,,im not to sure tho, im to lazy to look lol[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]..im sure ill get around to checkin tho...i want to increase top speed by about 10 mph or more..how mahy teeth should i bump it up..i heard one tooth will give you about 5 mph more..is this true or not/??

If you increase the top speed that much you are bound to loose quit a bit of bottom end. That will make it tough to ride in the woods. If you mainly ride open roads I say go for it. I don't know the exact mph increase but I do know that one tooth on the front is equivilant to three on the rear.

yeah, i dont do much woods riding, lots of WOT type riding, down roads and longer trips, i just want to be able to move faster so i can keep up with my buddies[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] lol

in theory,,,,your 5mph per front tooth sound pretty close.....bump it up to a 13 !!!! Havent played with the front sprocket on mine yet, but I hear you get more utilization out of each gear with upsizing your front sprocket??
