Why can't you just fix up the 84 250r. If you do the motor swap you will need the coil and stuff off of the R anyway. As far as the 200x goes if you really want to make it rip you need to go into the bottom end anyway. Check out powroll.com for some hop-ups for the 200x.

i cant do ne thing to the bottom end of the 200x cuz the crank if messed up and they told me that it would not be worth grinding down.... and could i just bolt the 250r motor stright up to the 200x frame cuz all he has is the motor nothing ealse no frame for the motor.

Well there shouldn't be that much to it then. As I said before you will probably need the coil off of a 250R. That thing ought to be pretty fast with that engine.

It will be more work to put the '84 motor in the X than to just fix the '84.
The '84 is better than a bastard 200x ever will be.
For that matter pick up a used 200X motor on ebay for a few hundred and be happy.

I have an '84 250R and an '84 200X and am NOT 12 years old.

The R engine will not work in the X frame without serious fram modifying. The X front lower down tubes do not "spread" for the R exhaust to fit through.

The Chain is also on the right side instead of the left like almost everything else.
