Default 250es carb problem

the gas is pouring out of the carb drain on my 1987 atc250es big red. swapped the drain screws, but still pouring. never has done this before. maybe that the bowl cracked all of a sudden? it had a slow drip, but now pours.

update: i do not see any exterior cracks. if the float bowl is needing replacement, is it possible, or more trouble, to replace the bowl without removing the carb?

if it is just the drain screw, before you buy a new bowl use some JB weld to seal it up. you will just have to take the bowl off to drain it every once in awhile. quite a bit easier and cheaper for the time being. Then you can always get a new bowl down the road.

bowl is off and checked. it holds gas no problem, drain screw seals.
looks like the float was hung and it filled until it overflowed.
float is only 2 years old, so i doubt it has a hole. mabe trash was causing it.
so far, cheaper than a $72 bowl.
