hey my friends 1985 atc 200x does not start. we checked the spark plug thats not the problem. everything else seems to be fine. Someone said it could be a carb problem and that we would have to clean the whole carb out. if this is the problem can u tell me how to clean it out. But if there is another problem can u tell me what it might be and how to fix it.

 

air, fuel, spark, compression, timing, are your checkpoints.
remove the fuel supply line from the carb and drain some fuel from the tank into a can, see if it flows freely, if not check the petcock filter
and a carb rebuild on that trike is a piece of cake. The kit cost around $12
check and see if there is junk in the fuel bowl.

 

yea i have the same trike. i had a problem like that and it was the timing so u migh want 2 check that.

 

i hane hade the same problem with my 86 honda 250R i just tacke it apart and clean the jets run compresd air throw every thing
