i bought maier plastc for my race 200X and the fnsh on them is horible. There smooth and all but are very ripply and look like they have dents in them. Does any one else have this problem?

 

Did you buy them from Hyperparts? I did and managed to buy a sh!tty as$ set of rear fenders for my 350x. Thats probably the reason they are so cheap compared to buying them direct from the factory because they still sell the old rough finish fenders as apposed to the new shiny finish that you get direct from the factory. Also there's something i absolutely hate about the set i have for my 350x, the stupid things will not fit right over the tank, it makes it so much of a hassle to take the fenders off and put them back on. I bought a set of rear plastics for my big red direct from the factory and the shine and quality of the fenders is awesome OEM quality.

 

Yeah my 86 250r has maier fenders front and rear and they look fine ( although they have some red overspray that the previous owner got on them ). I would say that the company is selling maier's defective fenders instead of there good quaility ones.

I bought Maier for the wives LT, and we love them. Great finish, ect. Friend bought 100% of his plastic (maier) and they fit a slight bit different, but they look great.

Any of you guys with the problems, have you contacted the place you bought them and complained????? If so what did they say?

 

I've bought maier in the past and they have always been good quality. Sounds to me you got some of those Maier Blems (i.e. defective)

 

i bought maier fenders for my 200s and they looked so good i had a hard time drilling holes in them to put the back rack on.

 

man I must have got the bad ones
