Default Carb Problem

A few weeks ago i was gonna tune my bike up and try and mess around w/ the carb air & fuel mixture screw, well when i felt around for it it wasn't there. Well when i took the carb off to see what the hell was up i seen that it had been snapped off. Omg i was pissed, is this fixable or would i be better off gettin a new carb when i put an aftermarket pipe on it? If so will the 400ex carb work for it? That would be pretty sweet.

You should be able to tap that out with a screw extractor.

since the adjuster is brass it will drill
easilly. But you have to use a very small
drill to start and make sure that you start
the drill in the center of the shank.

An extractor set is available at Napa or
hardware stores. make sure that you get
the appropriate size.

GOOD LUCK

For a different thought, you could go with a stock 250x carb. this is newer school and will give you a little more power and better responce. I started out with the 250x carb when I ran a stock 350 but when I went to a powroll 430 stroker I went with a 39mm fcr. This is expensive but any additional power from your 350x will cost something. and if you can get the 400ex carb. cheap, I would try mounting it . My air tube wasn.t long enought to accomadate the fcr so I cut the air tube and glued on a piece of rad.hose that fit the carb. than cut this to length. hope this give you food for thought!! Bixxl

I didn't say it was bigger.... I said it was built a few years after the 350x carb and it has better preformance than the stock carb on your 350x. If you don't believe me ask the professionals at owroll.com and let them explain it to you. I realize that the concept might be hard to understand but think about the speed they get out of very small motors today compaired to the big blocks that were the fastest thing alive back in the day, or the power they get out of the new 4 strokes that have come out in the last 3 years. When searching for more power out of your 350x you need to ask a lot of questions, all of us have "ebay" to buy-try-and sell differen't parts that might help our effort to gain speed/power on a small budget. We also have this forum to help each other, gain the knowledge we need to keep our rides running at there best. Just trying to give you something to think about. Bixxl
