Sputtering? whats the cause?

Default Sputtering? whats the cause?

well on my 200x i ran it for like 2 months with no mixture screw and ran good just wouldnt idle. never had problems. i have a spare carb i think.

Hmm, well my plug looks darker, so it aint gonna heatup n melt the thing, so maybe i try running w/o it and see what happens. Thanks for the help

Cleaned out the carb completely, i couldnt get the machine to run without choke....is this a vacumm leak somewhere....??

yea it is because you dont have your mixture screw on. or mabe its different with those semi auto ones. ill try to figure out whats the problem and cause of this.

Thanks alot bro, i put my finger over the little hole from where the screw was, didnt do anything..I dunno, ill try a leak test maybe, will WD 40 work for that?

try carb cleaner. works better.

If its only running choked, that means there isnt enouf fuel getting to the engine, so it could be your gas cap, it might not be venting the way it should, making the gas not flow like it should. Also you could have gum deposits in your fuel line or the bottom of the tank if it sat for a long time. Try running it with the choke open with the gas cap off. Also make sure the gas is on
