Go to the forums at www.snowest.com. Tons of knowledgable folks there. Should be a good place to start.

Turn both in all the way, be carfull not to be to tight, then both come out 1 and a quarter turns for a start point. Then fire up the sled and fine tune it with the track up off the ground. One screw adjusts the low speed jet, has an "L" above it (whitch seems like it was already good), and the other is the high speed jet, has an "H" above it.

If the high speed jet wont change the way it runs, you have to tear down the carb, soke it in carb cleaner, blow out the holes that the adjuster screws go into with a compresser, dont mix the screws up, new carb kit (15 bucks) and you should be up and going.

Hope this helps ya

Now its eather too rich(oil), or the ignition system is acting up...

Coils bight be going bad, colder/hotter plugs might help, check magnito for rust, points & condencers... mostly cheap teedeius work.

And lastly, old ski-doo's have issues with there oil injection pump. They mount it on the recoil, and I've found that if snow gets into the oil resivoir, then ice forms in the pump, and or small oil lines, and clogs. Clean it regularly, or mix your gas, I've had to replace a few piston/jug sets form a failed oil injector.

Still sounds like the "L" screw is out to far. The screws are very sensitive, a 1/32 of a turn does a lot.

I recall a sled that I had to screw the "L" in ALL the way to get it to run right... The carb was very warn out.

Getta COMPLETE carb kit, and rebuild with NEW pieces. Sometimes using the old gaskets, even if the look good, can cause greef.

If you cant dial in the carb, you might want to find another Tillitson HR carb to swap with, to see if it realy is the carb giving all the problems.
