My atc 250R is leaking water out of the wheep hole and I do not know whether to replace the mechanical seal or the oil seal on the water pump shaft. If any one knows what i need to do Please speak up. Do I need to take off the whole right side cover or can i fix it by just pulling off the water pump cover.

 

Rebuild comes in a kit from servicehonda.com. I did it myself and it was pretty easy. Couple of years ago so i don't remember the details. I do remember putting some light oil on the ceramic part. If you have a manual shouldn't be a problem.

 

if its leaking water replace the mechanical seal.. that will take care of it..
