hell no you wrong mister my cousins's friend has a service honda cr500 dirtbike, well i was at his house and we were watching his duning videos and he raced a heavily pumped up yz250 and damn he smoked him hard. he had to lean all the way to the gas tank to keep the 500r from popping up, he had his helmet cam on. my frame is on its way and damn i cant wait to swap everything in so i can rip that bike and smoke them yz's and yzf's.

 

I don't have anything in front of me on an '03 YZ...but Yamaha didn't get an 11 HP gain over the '01 model I assure you....LOL

2001 Yamaha YZ 250......43.7 HP....77mph top speed
2001 Honda CR 500R......55.2 HP....89mph top speed

yay, alirght i got my frame on friday, and i just finished putting it all together today. the CR500R is back to life. im going to take it out today to let her rip!!!!!!. i posted a picture of it. in my pics page. so what you guys think?

I know a guy selling an 85' cr500r for a grand in roseville (near sac).

My wife won't let me buy it. Ugghh. Sometimes I opt for the single life [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] No approval process.

My dad had one (bored 1 over) back in 85. That thing killed my cr250.

Across soggy (a dry lake in johnson valley) - he would be 500 feet or more in front of me at the end.

Its a freakin' rocket ship.

Raced a LT500r on the same lakebed - smoked it.

 

thanks!!! i just got back from riding the 500 DAMN THAT THINGS RIPS, TOOOOOO FAST, I RACED A BANSHEE IT WAS ON STOCK BORE AND PORTED AND POLISHED AND I SMOKED IT, I ALSO RACE A SUZUKI RM250 AND A CR250 I SMOKED BOTH OF THEM, THIS BIKE IS CRAZILY FAST FAST,ONE OF THE BIKES THAT I BEARLY BEAT WAS A TRX330R THAT THING WAS FAST HE WAS RIGHT BEHIND MY TAIL. I CALLED THE DUDE THAT WAS TALKING SMACK ABOUT THE CR500 HE SAID HE CANT THAT HES TOO BUSY WOKRING,, WHAT A PUSS.. ILL BE BOTHERING HIM FOR A MATCH. NOW IM THINKING OF MAKING A ATC500R!!
