In stock form it should go 58-59 MPH ish. To get it to go faster you can....change sprockets, new exhaust, new cam, better air filter, rejet carb, bigger tires, ECT. $$$ is the limit

Those 83-85 200X machines were kinda funny, some topped out in the lower 50s and some hit almost 60 like Mike said.

My modded X only goes about 62, that was just after it was broke in and I've changed alot of setting since but 62 isn't too bad in my eyes cuz it gets there damn fast now. If I could get it to speed up like a 250R I'd have 'er made!...LOL

Jeff I have something to throw your way, see what you think........

The reason your toping at 62 is those Flat top tires your running.......The old rounded off "tip-over" tires that came on the trikes would "expand" at high speed and give you about 2" more tire diameter at high speed, and in turn increasing your top speed by quite a bit. I did a 4th gear burnout on ice, and those tires expand like hell. Just food for thought!

Hey Mike I agree, I thought about buying some of those "pro-wedge tires" for winter that they say expand like 40% but didn't wanna rip my fenders off....lol

Actually I was very happy with 62 mph since my stock 200X when it was in real good shape only topped at 53mph. My stock Mojave only goes 58mph and the accelleration of my 200X is so much better that a drag race between my to wheelers isn't even close.
