350X battery Conversion Help!
#1
on my 350x i installed a battery so i can run my lights when i shut it off, i need this feature because i mostly ride at night after work, and when im riding my 350x i stop to take a break but i have no power to my lights to see.
i have everything installed but except the wireing, im scared that if i connect the battery ill burn out generator, i saw on left case there is a red connector thats for the ignition and the other clear one is for the lighting, and thats where i have to connect the battery to pick up power,
so my question is will i burn out the generator if i connect it there or i need some kinda volt. regulator?

OK....no one has jumped in to help, so I have to take a crack at it...........
Did you buy some kind of "kit" to install this battery conversion, or is this a homemade design.....What have you installed so far; other than the stock items that came on the trike.

no its not some kit. i just removed the battery of my blown pocket bike and its 12V-14.4V, its a homemade design. the battery is small and cool it fits right inside the airbox. so far everything is still the same im just not sure of connecting it to the harness. i think it will send charge to the stator and burn it out.
