The original engine had cdi. I found one cheap with points. I dont think I can switch electricals on engine over from one to other, correct me if I am wrong. So I need to get a coil for the older points type engine. I dont think the cdi coil will work, again correct me if I am wrong. What else do I need, if anything?
The original engine has a bad trannie.

If at all possible STAY AWAY from the points!!!! THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!

 

Why I have never had problems with them on any other bike or atc? If performance is why they suck. I dont care, it is only a 110 to begin with not a racer.

 

it is possible but you will be having a lot of trouble trying to convert CDI TO POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
