I finally got the stupid 350x runnin today and what do you know....that weird ticking noise is BACK! Talk about bein pissed off, this thing has caused me more headache than anything else i've ever worked on. Do you all think it could be that the cam and the cam sprocket aren't worn in properly?? I don't know what else it could be because i checked out the cam chain while it was apart and seemed to be fine. Also i've been told that you need to go leaner when you put a more aggressive cam in a motor, i know that my main jet right now is way too rich (152 main) so what do you guys think a good place to start on my jetting would be?

Im assuming youve adjusted the valves, If you were 180 degrees out of rotation you could have set them to loose.

 

Nope, i'm gonna yank the motor back out and replace the timing chain and check everything else that could be causin that noise. If it doesn't stop i'm gonna say screw it and live with the noise. Once its back together is gettin sold [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img], $1500 any takers? lol well i'm out later.
