Default moron needs help removing castle nut

Yes I'm a moron....I"ve been trying to get the castle nut (rear axle) off my 185S to no avail. I've tried an impact...monster breaker bars etc. Short from taking a chisel to it....how the heck do these things come off? And yes...I have removed the cotter pin. I see a good amount of loctite on the axle spindle...so I'm assuming the last person didn't anticipate the brake/bearing woes I am having when he reassembled it last. Which for all I know could have been over 20 years ago.

Put it in gear, apply e-brake. Use a breaker bar and a pipe that will fit over it, like a lolly column, so you have an extension a few feet long. Should come right off if you pull down fast and hard on the pipe. You may need to strap your quad down on a trailor, or otherwise immobilize. Hey I didn't mean to rhyme, or use hard and on in same sentance.

STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....before you put a bar on it with it in gear........If there is loctite... HEAT the nut with a small propane torch, then use your impact. .......it will come off!!!!!!! Loctite is made to breakdown with heat.

Amen brother, use the torch first before using a breaker/torquemultiplier bar on the nut. YOu will do some serious damage to the nut and the threads of the axel.
