Default 85 ATC 250R Ground up Rebuild

Im rebuilding a very abused 85 atc 250r. Its coming along slowly but shurely. (EBAY is a GOD send). Has enyone used a mailorder firm to have a cylinder board? I have the new piston (.25mm over stock) and was considering contacting one the online companies that advertise there ware.
Anyone willing to share an expereince or two?

Thanks and keepemalive.

The bike shop I work at does a mail order sort of deal with a ton of stuff (www.brennys.com). We bore cylinders for, I believe, $30. If you'd like a quote from the boss/owner/cylinder borer (bores employees too, let me tell you ) just give us a call on Tuesday between 9am and 6pm Central at 563-359-7222. If you check our site you'll see that we do this kind of thing all the time. We also do whole engine exchanges, send your old engine in and we send you a fresh rebuild.

Thanks for the good info kart38. Ill check it out. Thankfully all i have left on the motor is the topend. I have already went through the bottom end with new bearings and seals. The transmission had a bad case of chain slip from its former owner. So i tore it down and had a local shop weld it up.

I hear ya. What ill end up doing is get in all the parts, get it all assembled and then strip it back down for a complete powder coating. I guess I need to start asking around for a good powder coat shop huh?
Nice trike lorenzo.
