110 Head Problem
Thanks for the info Tubes77, and welcome to the forum too.
I was thinking maybe Fencer could tap the head out to 14 mm and use the bigger plug in the same heat range. He may need a spacer on the plug to keep it from sticking in the head to far. But it might be to big of a spark plug to fit in the space for the plug.

Thanks tubes77 for the info. What are you looking at getting for the kit? Do you know if there is a way to tap for a larger plug? My hole happens to be bored out as the guy I bought it from happened to try a larger plug in it with no success. I think thats what he said. I only got to talk to him for a few secs. I bought the wheeler because its in beautiful shape and figured I'd deal with the spark hole issue later. Would your helilcoil kit work even though the hole is already bigger than it should be? Thanks.

I would guess you'd have to see just how much that hole is already bored out. Mine was pretty stripped out too but that was only with the original size thread. Since the drill size needed is 31/64, I guess the best way to tell is take that size drill bit and see if it fits into the spark plug hole on your machine. If you don't have that size, just use a 1/2" for now. If the bit will fit inside the hole you have, it's too big to be repaired with this kit and you will have to go to the next size up. I considered doing that myself. The trick is finding a plug with a 1/2" throw that is in the same heat range at the same gap as the plug you are using now. As far as selling the kit I have, I'm new here, is that alright? I know some boards do not allow selling stuff without paying some sort of fee or some allow that only in the right forum. Only 2 posts here, don't want to get in trouble this quickly! I've had several different Honda ATC's for many years, but I finally sold mine and made the jump to 4 wheels instead of 3 (Arctic Cat 650 V2). I'm learning lots on the quads I didn't know, but I can't help but look at the 3 wheeler forum too.

Thanks. I will check the hole with a 1/2". Can't do it until this sunday though. The wheeler is in seclusion as my wife knows nothing of it. I have to sell two of my other 11's before she can find out about this one. Those to other ones need new rings I think so that might be a while before I get at them too.
