No...the rotor is the thing that spins under the cover on the left side of the head that says "CDI" on it.

 

Sounds like the confusion stems from discrepancies in part names. I referenced Bikebandit.com, what you refer to as the rotor, they call a spark advancer, they identify the rotor as the large rotating drum on the left hand side of the crankshaft .
