Default 350X with lost compression

anyone that has ridden a 350X thats in good shape knows that it is hard to kick this machine when it has full compression. Mine kicks very easily and i can tell when i ride this compared to my friends 350X which has wayyyy more power because of the higher compression. I am hoping it doesnt require an entire rebuild. It is still plenty fast but i know that it is not as good as it should be.

Check the valve adjustment, and the cam chain tension...........if those are good do a compression test...if it is low, then you need to check the valve seats & valves, or the piston/ring/cylinder clearances.

its probably ready for new rings,if so -total rebuild, top end at least
if your gonna fix the rings then have a valve job done
if cylinder needs bored bore it out and see if you can find a popup piston
does it smoke??
dont for get the silencer packing makes a difference, (back pressure) as well
if it is time to rebuild it would be worth it - before it breaks
