Rare ATC?!?!

I was recently over at a friends something i have never seen before behind the barn. It was dark out so i dont have a lot of info. Anyways it appeared to be a 200x year unknown but what was really different about it is that instead of haveing a headlight it had a oil cooler with lines that ran to the bottom end. The thing runs but is fairly beat i think i could get it for cheap. Does anybody have ne info on what i may have stumbled upon? Also if it is some sort of race bike is it faster than my 1986 200X? Thanks guys

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!!
Sounds to me like a 350x they have oil coolers and they are alot faster then a 200x and they have dual headlights instead of just the one. Does it look like this? 85 350x or like this 86 350x. This looks more like the 86 200x
I also ride a 86 200x Sweet A$$!!!

Yes, the 200X had a single port exhaust and the 350X had a dual port exhaust. Someone may have just added an after market oil cooler to it, problably saw the 350X has them so thought what could it hurt, and mounted it where they thought it would be most effiecent right in front where the head light should be. I have seen a couple 200X's like that not many though. It is not really necessary in my opinion. Where I ride in the So Cal desert it gets pretty hot and no one is running them. Take some pics next time you see it and post them.

There is an old school method of adding an oil cooler to a 200x and you mount the cooler where ever you want.
This is a crappy pic but it works
