Default 1986 200x Cylinder Head..............

Well I just took my engine apart and I need a new head. After years of abuse something finally let go. Fortunately it was at low RPM. I dropped a valve, it turned sideways, lodged it into the piston and smacked the head. Honda supposedly no longer makes the head for this bike. What do you guys know about replacement heads? Are there any aftermarket heads out there? Are there other direct bolt on heads? I have heard that there are some other heads that will fit it but some of the flange mating surfaces are at different angles and could cause some exhaust and intake problems. What gives? Any help or information is greatly appreciated. Anyone out there have any good heads...........?
Thanks,
Mike

There are several engines that share that cyclinder head. The angle surface of intake and exhaust manifolds are the same. The differences there actually lie with the intake and exhausts. So as long as you keep your intake and headpipe, swapping is not a problem. The ONLY thing that might require changing is the arrangment of the intake or exhaust studs depending on what the head came off of. And most of those use only 2 holes anyway and didn't have an optional location.

The heads from the following engines will work....

86-87 ATC 200X
86-87 TR 200 (FatCat...motorcycle)
86-88 TRX 200SX
90-97 TRX 200
