NEED SUM HELP ON OIL RATIO!!!!!!!!!PLZ
MY BROTHER JUST BOUGHT A 1984 250R ATC- AIR COOLED ENGINE, IT HAS BEEN BOARD OVER TO A 360... IT HASN'T BEEN RIDDEN IN OVER A YEAR OR SO AND HAD A LIL BIT OF GAS IN IT, BUT IT STARTED RIGHT UP AND IT SEEM TO RUN FINE BUT I DUNNO WUT KINDA GAS REG-PREMIUM? AND HOW MUCH OIL??? AND SUMTIMES WHEN HE IS RIDING IT OUT OF KNO WHERE IT IDLES REALLY REALLY HIGH LIKE IF THE THROTTLE GETS STUCK OR SUMTHIN BUT ITS NOT, IT DOES IT WHILE GOING FAST AND HE KEEPS POPIN WHEEELIES LLIKE IN 4TH GEAR AND HE HAS TO PUSH IN THE CLUTCH TO *** TO A STOP AND IT KEEPS ITSELF IN A HIGH RPM OR SUM THING AND HE TURNS IT OFF AND STARTS IT AGIAN AND IT WILL BE FINE FOR AWILE AND DO IT AGIAN.. ENY BODY HELP ME OUT I WILL REALLY APRCIATE IT!!!!

You can run your gas mix around 40:1. I would do a compression check to see what octane fuel you should run. Anything over 190 psi I would run race fuel. If it's below , run premium 91. As far as the idle I think you need some carb work. Maybe just a good cleaning. A 360 84 R must be scarry fast. Have fun and good luck.

Ok this is just me talking but man i hate reading all caps. It sounds like to me that you might need to just adjust the idle screw. It is on the side of the carb with a spring under it. Just adjust that and see what happens I bet that would fix it. If not you will need to clean the carb and see if that helps. Also if it has had 1 year old gas or better in it i bet the carb its all gummed up so it would still need a good cleaning.

14 mill bore is 357, did you change the rod?
