125m carb problems
#1
I didn't want to repost something that's been covered here on several other threads but I haven't found the answer I need yet. Here's the problem: I rebuilt the carb and the it ran great for a couple of days, although it leaked fuel through the bowl overflow tube. After a few days it started fouling plugs and got to the point where it wouldn't even start. It has the plastic non-adjustable float so I went ahead and changed it to eliminate that from being the problem. Still no start. I checked for spark and and it is good and the plug is also getting wet with fuel. Possibly too wet to ignite since the carburetor is taking in so much gas. The only thing I thought was odd when I rebuilt the carb was the fact that it has no changeable float-needle seat. I did clean the area as good as I could but it is obviously not sealing off when the float reaches its correct height. I kind of suspect this to be the problem. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. Maybe someone who has had this same problem can tell me how to dress up the seat so it seals.

hi
take the carb off
get a long piece of hose (fuel line)
drain carb,take off bowl
hold upside down blow through the longer fuel line, move floats up and down to see if they are shutting down!!!
if they are sealing you should'nt be able to blow through any air
that prob solved
look at the float level from the side upside down adjust height as nessasery
install new clear fuel filter
good luck
