Front sand tire on a 3-wheeler
#1
Howdy, I was wondering if anyone has tried to put a smooth or ribbed sand tire on the front of their 3 wheeler. I've been thinking about trying to find one to fit my 82 250r.

I was wanting to try and find another rim somewhere and see if I can get a tire to fit it. I don't know where I can find a rim though. Does anyone know what type of rim (size offset and such) I would need to find for it? I know that the rim that is on it now isn't the one that came on it in 82. Thanks for the help

I think we might need to clarify something here.
Do you mean "find" or buy?
If you wan't a cool aluminum front rim in 8x8 and a cool custom sand front to go with it, all you may need to do is write the check.
I would start with

I think he's asking how do they perform... Maybe? and I think that is a great question. I have always run a knobby on the front and played with the air press to get the bite I have wanted and been more than happy with that. However, I always wondered how a "sand ribbed" tire would affect the whole program.... Other than the cool sand look it provides. Can anyone chime up on this one?

I'm not sure if any company makes a wheel with the proper offset to fit the front end of this 3-wheeler. I can’t seem to find any info on what the proper offset is. That is what I was asking in that particular question.
On the other hand I was hoping to here from someone that had used a sand tire on there wheeler. I want to know if it would really make a difference.
Thanks for the help

just thought id say this but taking and atc or atv to the sand dunes would be the worst thing to do because you get sand in the bearrings and it will grind them up and in the steering colum its the worst thing you will just trase it
