Cylinder coating

Default Cylinder coating
I have an 82 ATC200 and i am redoing the piston and rings and all that good stuff. What i dont know is if the cylinder wall has a special coating, like chrome or nikasil, that would prevent me from being able to hone the cylinder. Any info would be greatly appreciated

WELCOME TO THE FOURMS!!!


No there is no speacial coating. Any good machine shop will be able to bore it very easy.
