buddy just gave me a yamaha yt-125 2 stroke.cleaned out carb,replaced plug and a few odds and ends i can only get it to push start will not fire with the recoil!!!im getting a good spark,gas and compression the oil injector is also working but cant figure it out any help would be appreciated!!!would like to get it running for my 11 and 15 yr old!

 

Give it a compression test, sounds like it might be low. If it is below 50 its too low to start.

 

thanks for help was leanin towards rings but my buddy keeps insisting that thats not the problem!
