Default 1979 ATC 110, Plug Fouling??? HELP

I just put a new plug in it and rode it up and down the street for about 5 min then a couple laps in the back yard, pulled the plug and its fouling again!!
Should I move the clip on the needle up? Its in the middle (3rd) groove now. Should I move it up to the top groove? I think that will lean it out a bit?

Thanks

If your plug is fouling out because of oil it will not madder what you do to the fuel it will still foul out. You could try that and see if it helps but I would just go a notch up at a time and see how it runs.

I ended up moving it up to the top notch. Took it out on the street and it runs like a top. However back in the yard it will still foul out fast.
I guess it needs a top end re-build?? I found a top end rebuild kit on ebay for $125...that a good deal???? Includes a cylinder head and all ????
We are going to take it out Saturday to some dirt roads and run it a while and see what happens.. Thanks for all the help, hopefully one day I will be able to share some knoledge with you all.

Depends... You have to send them your cylinder. It has to be in good shape and not bored out 2 over. Or you will have to pay a 50 dollar core charge. It could be that your valve seals are bad and could be that. But usually it will smoke if the valve seals are bad when you first start it up. So if it smokes the hole time then it prob is your piston.

There is a piston on there right now for 10 dollars but most are 40 and then you get it bored for 40-60 and a gasket kit for 20. So I would say the kit sounds pretty good. Unless you cant send yours in for some reason.

no I can send mine in. How hard is the replacement? I assume I can do it myself? The only thing I am not clear on is the valve settings, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it. Will advise after we run it saturday.

THANKS AGAIN
