HELP ME PLEASE NO ATV OIL within 100 miles!!!
#1
I have an 84 200es & my manual says to use 10W40, classification SE or SF
1 store tried to sell me regular "SAE 10W 30 for all 4-stroke motors" he says he uses this in his ATC all the time!
So my options are to:
-Buy the SAE 10W30?
-Travel 120 miles to the nearest ATV Store?
-Try to buy oil online?
Can anyone out there help me out?
Thanks a bunch

I use Valvoline 10w-40 in all my Honda and Jetmoto Thumpers. No clutch problems to speak of in over 20 years with some of them. Buy what ever brand oil you like and dont sweat it. If you had a high performance thumper I would reccomend AmsOil 10wt-40 like I use in my KTM.

If it was me I would use something like a Valvoline 10-40W motorcycle oil. It is a JASO MA oil made for wet clutches which I assume the 200es is?? I have an 86 TRX125 and use this oil in it. It's fairly cheap and you can find it on the net. Most Wal-Marts sell it also. If you want better oil look at Maxima racing oil. I use the 10-40W ultra synthetic in my 420, but I don't know if I would switch your machine to a synthetic.

So I drained & changed my oil, non-synthetic 10W40 motorcycle oil. It ran like a dream.
Thanks
