Default ATC/Big bear QUESTION

I am considering buying an ATC. I would like to know from experience how is the longevity on these? What major issues if any do they have. Basically I am looking for a cheap (under $1000), that would give me many years of trouble free use. I'm torn between buying a yamaha big bear or 2 ATCs. Please give me some suggestions on what I should do. It would be my first ATV ownership. I also would like to know how many miles can be put onto ATV motors befor they need to be rebuilt and does it matter how old a motor is compared to a newer big bear?

Default ATC/Big bear QUESTION

Big bears are great machines last really well, carb boots are poor but they have a replacement updated ones, reverse linkage was a little crappy as well. Those guys who try and get extra year out of their batteries usually take out the stator on the big bears..not cheap to replace. The motors on the atc just seem to keep on running.
