Default 185s Help

Newbie that needs help. I just put a new carb on my 185s and it starts perfect. Idles a little slow, but when I apply the throttle, engine dies. What should I look at first? Is this a gas supply problem or air intake issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum CALEBANDJENNA!

The fuel screw, most likely on the bottom of the carb should be turned in until it stops and turned out 1.5 to 2 turns. It allows more fuel to get out of the carb at just off idle, where your having a problem.
