I have a 1980 ATC 185 Honda and had a question on the electrical system. I wanted to find out if anyone has every installed and wired a small winch to one of these. I have the wiring diagram and know where the common and hot wires, etc are that power the headlight and tail light so I would just tie into them for power. And of course, that circuit would be fused. Would anyone happen to know if the electrical system would handle a small winch? Thanks!!

 

I do not think the electrical system could handle that
First you would need to put a battery
I looked in my manual they do show an Optional DC Power kit on page 373 in the Clymer manual M326
This does show a battery and other wiring
You may try Honda
