Default Big Red three wheeler 200 1985

Hi
I have had this three wheeler for 10 years and only use for deer hunting, Last year it ran fin going to the woods and then acted up on way out . Since then i have replace plug trim coil wire fixed a hole in muffler and put new carb and air cleaner. But it still doesn't have no power it will rev but cuts out and when i am riding it it just doesn't seem to take a load it almost seems like it just doesn't get enought gas it is like running half thottle at wide open it doesn't die it just falls on it face but keeps running. the plug was changed and it wasn't fouled looked good . I am pulling my hair out on this one.

this may be a dumb question but the throttle slide can it be adjusted by Moving the needle clip position will affect the mid throttle i read that in a post. if so how do you move the clip it seem like it is all the way down and the spring holds the clip down and needle , this may be the problem a picture would be great
Thanks
again

You can adjust the needle. You say you replaced the carb... why? Whad kind of carb did you put on? A stock carb? How is it jetted? Is it clean? Any air leaks? Where do you live? I can't imagine the needle clip needs to be all the way down. If it is running rich in the mid-range, you raise the needle clip to lean the mid-range. But you say the plug is fine and it is not getting enough gas??? So is it lean? Then you need more fuel (jetting), but you cant lower the clip anymore if it is already all the way down, so there is another issue. Sounds like maybe a carb issue, just way too many unknown variables to help you out. The stock carb, stock setting is clip in the middle notch. If you want a picture go to a parts fiche site like hondaparts-direct.com or bikebandit.com and look at the blow up image of the carb.

You changed the carb? that means you need to look at the old carb and make certain you have the same carb with the same jet. It sound just like my 250r with the wrong jets. If your carb was from sea level like mine but your bike is at 5000 feet it wont run. You must start with they same size jet.

The petcock on tank is also filter
