does that indicate the valve stem seals are bad? or rings or both?
I thought if it was oil coming out( drips out the exhaust pipe meant valve stem seals is that correct?
thanks in advance

Im not sure in a bike but not in a car. I believe a bike is the same. Oil coming out the exhaust would be caused by blow by from the rings. I would guess the compress ring is waring out and is a lowing the oil to pas by.

Oil going past the valves would come out as blue smoke.

I think, Im rather new to bikes but very good with cars. Hopefully someone else will confirm or deny this post.

well then that confirms the valve guides on mine. the rings are fine then. all i have is about 26 years worth of carbon buildup in the exhaust.
