Default new carb

ok so i bought my daughter a sunl -138 110cc atv for her birthday ( hey i no its chinese but for less than $600 brand new with warranty it was hard to pass up)
on closer inspection i notice that the motor is almost identical to my honda 110 atc my question is why would this not work i can score a brand new carb intake pipe and filter for less than 60 bucks thats cheaper than an oem on ebay im curious to the point of pulling the carb off my daughters to try but my wife wont let me something about 3 atvs in the garage that dont run and at 60 bones its a relatively cheap experiment just wondering if the vast amount of knowledge on here could help me out thanks in advance.

Go for it,

I had, an SMC four wheeler, and the engine, carb, throttle cable, brake calipers ,wheels and tires all looked nearly identical to those on my 84 200x
Didn't experiment though

sunl's are actually chinese reproductions of honda's, whilst they are pretty much junk, the good thing is, when parts break, you can get quality ones from honda.
