Default wheels and tires for 250SX

I have an '85 Honda 250SX, and I'm trying to decide what wheels and tires to get. I'm going with 10" aluminum rear wheels and 22X11 tires. I'm looking for a good all purpose tire, but one that's especially good in the snow. I want a tire with a flat, squared off profile and one that will help the *** end of the trike slide more easily. The stock type "balloons" on there now make the thing want to tip very easily. I'd also like to put some spacers on the back for more stability, but someone in another forum advised against them, saying that they could cause the axles to bend. Has anyone had any problems running spacers? I was thinking of going with either 1.5" or 2".

Here are some other questions I have:

ITP, Douglas or AMS wheels? Who makes the best wheel?

I like the looks of the AMS cast sport wheel. Has anyone used them? Are these lighter or heavier than a "spun" aluminum wheel? Which is stronger?

Does anyone know why the most common width for a 9" wheel is 9", but only 8" for a 10" wheel?

Here are some tires I'm considering:

Razr 2's - How are these in the snow?

AMS Swamp Foxes - Has anyone tried these?

Duro HF243 Mud and Sand (Wooly Booger copy). It seems the 4 ply versions are harder to find. Are the 2 plies durable, or should I hold out for the 4 plies?

ITP Mudlites

Kenda Klaws

Carlisle 489's

Sorry for the long post, had alot of questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

ok... i'd go with cheng-shin c858s. I have them on my 225DX and they're amazing. as for your rim question, its because most of the sport tires are made for 9" rims. because they're so wide, the rims need to match. I wouldn't worry about bending your axle if u put spacers on it, Honda axles are pretty hard to hurt. the RAZR 2 isnt bad on snow, my buddy has them on his 350 Warrior.

I think you meant C828, right? (My search results for a C858 turns up a dirtbike tire). The C828 is only a 2 ply, how have these held up for you? Do these tires have a rounded or flat profile? What diameter and width wheels are you running? I'm going to run 22X11's, do you think I should go with 9" or 10" wheels?
Thanks.

Anyone else?

oops my bad... ya they're 828s. They're a fairly square profile, and they held up fine for me, only problem is my valves are leaking slowly. I'm running 8x10 inch rims on mine i think. I'm running 22x11-8's

and i would run 9" rims, there's more tires for 9" than 10" with square profiles
