Plastic/composite type, like Durablue or billet aluminum? For an '85 250SX.

Sure seems that way! It's really frustrating when you can't get any replies to a post!

Did you get that SX yet?

I picked up a couple of wheels with tires last night for $50 from a kid who posted a craigslist ad. He's parting out an '86 Honda Fourtrax 200SX. I got the 8" steel rear wheels with Cheng Shin C828's on them (the tire you were telling me about). The tires have very little wear, although one of them has a small plug in it, but it's not leaking. The wheels are kinda rough and one of them won't hold air because the valve stem is leaking. Can you replace a valve stem without removing the tire from the wheel? And one thing that's really strange is that one tire is a little bit taller than the other, I'd say about a half inch. Have you ever seen anything like that? I'd post pics of them if I knew how.

As far as I know, you have to pop at least on bead off the rim to change a stem, because you dont want the cutoff nub bouncing around inside your tire. And yes I have seen the "these two tires aren't the same size" syndrome... mine were like that because one of them was low on air and the other one was overinflated. No I don't have the SX yet... I gotta sell my dirt bike first... Stupid little Yamaha TT-R 90 lol... probably get the trike this spring and i seriously cant wait!

Have you ever changed your own tires? I'm thinking about buying the tools to do it.

Ya we put the C828's on my Tri-Moto... but we used a jack-all under the bumper of the truck to break the beads on the old tires and then prybars to peel them off... the prybars to put one bead of the new tires on and ether and a match to finish putting them on
