I have a honda 200 that starts up and runs but for like the first 5-10 minutes of running it in cuts out and tries to die, but will stay running then after 10 or so minutes it will start to run fine and has decent power.

 

The other day i was riding my 200 and as i was slowing to a stop it ran fine until the stop then randomly quit, it started right back up about a minute later it did this like 3 or 4 times and started back up every single time, the spark plug was completely black. i dont know what the problem is if it is electrical or something else.

 

I would completely break down the carb and make sure that all of the passages are free of drebis. The only way to clean a carb is tearing it apart...not even soaking will work.

 

Now the wheeler has no spark at all, i tried a different coil, and cdi it did nothing, i did clean the carb a few days ago and it didnt do anything.

 

Honda200s, your going to have to wait for the gurus to chime in on this one. I don't have any answer for you....sorry man.

 

Sounds like a bad stator plate under the fly wheel, it is the thing that makes all the power for the ignition. or the wire running to it could be corodid or unplugged!!

 

I got a differnet stator and it runs great, thanks for the help

 

check for a loose or shorted stator and pulse gererator. or maybe loose magnet in flywheel after you check for sticking float in carb
