1979 110 atc
Hi;
I am new to the forum, and trying to get a 110 running well enough to be able to trust it.
When I got it was in rough shape, but I have got it running and occasionally ride it, but it can be hard re-starting without starting fluid.
The carb was nasty, but I pulled it apart and soaked all the parts in naphtha, and that really loosened all the varnish up, so I was able to get it nice and clean.
I can run it for a while, but if it dies I often times have to spray starting fluid in carb to get it running again.
Works well for a while, but NGK D8HA kept fouling, so I went with D68A, and that one has now fouled too.
There is a trace of oil in exhaust, but I don't think it should be enough to foul the plugs.
Looking in the spark plug hole, it appears to be an accumulation of carbon within, I am thinking of pulling the head and giving it a good cleaning,I did that years ago on a S90 Honda I had as a kid, and that thing ran like it never ran before, it was amazing.
Any advice to keep plugs from fouling, or is there a better plug then I am running to prevent fouling? After all 2 stroke engines burn oil all the time, and mine burns just a trace amount.
Any suggestions would be welcome,.......... Thank You
